Farmington, Mo. (KFMO) - The Farmington Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the public to celebrate the grand reopening of the Bud Norman Memorial Sports Complex on Thursday, April 24, 2025. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. at the complex, located at 1100 Sainte Genevieve Avenue in Farmington.
The complex has been closed since October 2024 while undergoing extensive renovations. Upgrades include a brand-new concession stand, improved restrooms, updated signage, new fencing, dugouts, equipment, and redesigned backstops to improve both the player and spectator experience.
Farmington Parks and Recreation Director Lainie Gault shared her excitement, saying, “We are excited to welcome the community back to the Bud Norman Sports Complex. The renovations to the facility are going to make for a great experience for players and fans.”
The complex will be open to the public daily from dawn until 11:00 PM, when not reserved for scheduled games or practices. The first major event to be held at the newly renovated facility is the "7 in the Spring" USSSA Fastpitch Tournament, which begins Friday, April 25. The tournament is open to the public, and spectators are encouraged to attend.
