UPDATE Manhunt Over in Leadwood

(LEADWOOD, MO) - Police from multiple different agencies were in Leadwood Thursday afternoon looking for a man that may have assaulted an elderly woman.  Leadwood Police Chief Will Dickey confirms to KFMO / B104 they arrested the suspect as he was walking down a street carrying a baseball bat.

Further details are expected to be released on Friday, but according to an intial report that was broadcast on scanner traffic Thursday afternoon, a man may have assaulted an elderly relative of his in a home in Leadwood at around 1 pm.  

It was then reported that the man allegedly barricaded himself in the home, but when police finally got into the home, he was no where to be found.
