Bonne Terre Police Car Hit

(Bonne Terre, MO) A Desoto man is injured, his car totaled, and a Bonne Terre Police patrol truck has extensive damage after a traffic accident in St. Francois County Tuesday morning just before 10 o'clock. Highway Patrol reports show the patrol truck car was parked in the right lane of Highway 67 south, just south of Old Orchard Road while Bonne Terre Police were assisting with traffic control after a previous accident. A car driven south by 52 year old William R. Drye, of Desoto, smashed into the police vehicle. Drye was wearing his seat belt when the wreck took place. He received minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center North at Bonne Terre. No one else was injured in the wreck however Drye's vehicle was totaled and the patrol truck received extensive damage.
