BJC Announces COVID Vaccination Requirement

(Farmington, MO) BJC Healthcare is going to require their employees, and those who work in BJC facilities, to get a COVID19 vaccination beginning in the fall of this year. A press release from BJC officials indicates employees are required to be fully vaccinated by September 15th in advance of the annual influenza and respiratory illness season, unless granted a medical or religious exception. This is consistent with long standing practices requiring health care workers be vaccinated against serious infectious diseases for the safety of staff and patients. Given the continuing risk of COVID19 spread in the community, BJC continues to strongly encourage vaccination among the general public as well.
