Arcand Gets Date in Court

(De Lassus, MO.) A Doe Run man, 63 year old Benjamin Arcand, has a trial date set for May 12th and 13th of 2020 in St. Francois County Court. Arcand is charged with the November 2012 shooting of 39 year old Thomas Hyde. It's alleged Arcand shot Hyde with a shotgu7n as a Flea market in De Lassus just west of Farmington off Highway 221. Arcand is charged with first degree assault and armed criminal action. The date was set after Arcand was judged mentally fit for trial.
