Angstrom to be Sentenced in December

(St. Francois County, MO) The Woman charged with murdering her boyfriend in a Terre Du Lac trailer court in 2019, 52 year old Kimberly Angstrom, will be sentenced for the crime after filing an Alford Plea of guilty. Angstrom made the plea to murder in the second degree and armed criminal action. The plea means Angstrom isn't admitting guilt however she is acknowledging there is enough evidence to convict her at trial. Law enforcement officials say Angstrom allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, 55  year old Kevin Ziegler, to death early the morning of Friday, February 1st of 2019. The injuries included a punctured artery in Ziegler's lower neck. The report also indicates Angstrom, who was found at the residence, admitted to the stabbing. Reports from 2008 show Angstrom was involved in a stabbing incident during a drinking episode and had attempted to stab her boyfriend and another person. Angstrom has been charged in the past with domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and tampering with a vehicle. Angstrom's sentencing is set for December 10th.
