Missouri Storm Death Toll Rises to 12 Amid Widespread Devastation

Jefferson City, Mo. (KFMO) - The number of fatalities from Friday’s severe storms and tornadoes across Missouri has risen to 12, as officials continue recovery efforts in multiple counties. According to the Missouri Department of Public Safety, the confirmed fatalities include:

• Three deaths in Ozark County
• One death in Butler County
• Six deaths in Wayne County
• One death in Jefferson County
• One death in St. Louis County

Emergency crews are still assessing the extent of the damage, with reports of homes and businesses destroyed, widespread power outages, and downed trees across affected areas. State and local officials urge residents to remain cautious as cleanup efforts continue.
